Hydrogen Peroxide melts colour contact lenses?

Some brand of colored contact lenses are surface treated, and I have
had patients using these who report that their lenses end up getting
"bleached" after long term H2O2 use for disinfection.
Most lenses now have the color underneat the surface, and are less
prone to this problem. With most colored lenses being disposable
nowadays, I have not had any patients complain about this problem for
a long time.
