Why don't all of you who are {*filter*}ing back and forth about the LASIK deal
(i.e. - Ron Link, Brent Hanson) take it outside and get out of here?

Where is a better place to discuss it?

Somewhere where it won't clog up the group with the kind of messages they
are.  Chat rooms, personal e-mails, in one of their back yards, etc. would
be better places.  The messages don't ask questions or inform us on
something useful to the topic of vision, they're just a fight with words,
and it's hard to tell who's telling the truth.

They may not inform you, but then again maybe some inform you more
than you're willing to admit? They most certainly *do* inform some of us!

No. They are much more than "just" that. This has been a great education
for me, and it's likely to be one for others as well. Please try not to be quite so
inconsiderate of people who are more ignorant than you are! If you don't want
to read the threads, then don't read the threads. But it's very inconsiderate of
you to want to deprive others of this source of information....especially when
the quality of the rest of their lives is at stake.

    Agreed.

Tom and dh,

After a three hour meeting this past Sunday, the Board of Trustees of
Surgical Eyes resolved to issue a public statement in the near future
regarding what you've born witness to. The statement will not come
from me - I am admittedly quite upset about the falsehoods and
twisting of facts that are promulgated by a certain individual. The
Board of Trustee's statement will depersonalize the entire issue. SE's
record of patient advocacy stands on its own. Our bulletin board is
down for a spell as we put protection systems in place for all of our
constiuency - including the very angry. Tom - I would expect that
you'll see somewhat of a dropoff here about LASIK issues once we're
back online.  Dh - I am confident that the Board of Trustee's
statement will lay this all to rest...this has been going on for over
a year to no good end. Our Annual Report is also due out before the
end of the quarter.

Sincerely,

Ron Link
Executive Director
The Surgical Eyes Foundation
