I'm a pretty cronic difficult contact lens patient. I've got a pretty bad
astigmatism, and after trying a whole bunch of different lens types, my eyecare
practicioner and I finally settled on CIBA Torisoft lenses, as the best we
could do. Unfortunately my prescription is worsening (e.g. more than 8.00) and
I've been told that I'm probably going to have to go to custom lenses.
        I'm just wondering if anything new has come along that might be an improvement
for me. I'm willing to give things a try, and my O.D. is pretty open to
suggestions. I'm still pretty active (I play  competetive Soccer), so I'm not
ready to give up and settle for glasses just yet.
        Any help or ideas would be appreciated. If you need any additional information
(like my prescription), I'd be happy to furnish it.

Get educated about refractive surgery.  AK at least to decrease your
Astig.  PRK to decrease both astig. and nearsightedness.
