Are the prices quoted in France for PRK or RK?  In my practice I find many
cross border patients confuse the two.

This price is for PRK I am told. It seems Europe has gone through a PRK
overkill period and many of the economical excimer lasers on the used
market come from Europe, especially Italy.

In that regard, I know two ophthalmology practices which are currently
being sued by Summit for having purchased lasers form overseas.
It seems that there is an FDA reg. re: this, but FDA has not as yet
enforced it. I guess Summit hopes to pressure the FDA into doing so.
