Lasik eye laser surgery (advice please)

: Thanks Maryanne.
: I am 38 years old. I won't mind if I still have to use glasses for
: reading but the main reason for wanting to do this is to be able to be
: free of having to wear glasses in the evenings when I am out socially
: at restaurants etc and also at work building houses as glasses are a
: constant irritant having to readjust them when eating or bending over
: house plans :(.

It seems as if you are starting to have hardening of the lens already.
Why not try bifocals, trifocals, or the continuously variable kind of
lens. Then just a small movement of the head has to be got used to.

And is there really much difference between reading and looking at a plan?

And sometimes having a plastic lens in front of the eye will protect it
from a flying chip.

Does anyone really think that surgery would correct the difficulty reported?
