If the photograph on the web page referred to is anything to go by
then the carving is very probably a fake. I don't know anything about
Olmec carvings or heads but I do know that lichen grows
indiscriminately on the surface of a rock and will not avoid the
incised lines in the way that is shown in the photograph.
