Does anyone have experience of image-capturing from ultrasound for
later printing on a laser camera? We wish to capture images from a
Siemens sonoline-2 for later printing on a Kodak laser camera.

Yes, we do this. What would you like to know?

Something like a disc storage system sounds like what you might be looking
for. Try the 3M Image manager it should fit the bill.
Enjoy.

Hi, The cheapest and easiest is to use a commercial Intel Video Capture Board for
the video signal, which can either be saved directly from the ultrasound instrument
or saved first by video tape (a Hi-8 Handy Cam has great resolution), which can be
brought to the computer later. The Inetl board will save a 640 by 480 image, which
is fine for ultrasound and convert it to a bit mapped file for moving easily into a
word processor. Finally, a 1200 dpi laser printer will make a great paper print.

Good Luck,   Jason C. Birnholz, M.D.

Kodak Health Imaging Systems offers an extensive ultrasound networking and
storage system that includes all the components you would likely need.  To
discuss, call Linda Roach, Genreral Manager, Ultrasound Business Unit,
Kodak Health Imaging Systems, 214-994-1200.  The 3M system will not work
as well with the Kodak Laser Printer.
