I need some information on SSRI "poop out" or when the response all of a sudden ends even while med is continued. A cite or two outlining what it is, how often it occurs and what to do next (augment, another SSRI, another med altogether) would be nice. I would settle for a word or two I could use to search medline "poop out" doesn't work(g).

The medical term for this is tachyphylaxis. Try this term with antidepressant, SSRI, or even a drug name (generic would be best).

Thanks. As soon as I say the term, I hit my forehead so hard I almost gave myself a concussion. Brain fade of the first magnitude.
