a toll-free shelter hotline

The latest effort in San Mateo County offers
free voice mail to homeless people throughout
the county. The program in our county is sponsored
by the Baha'i Spiritual Assembly of San Carlos,
Apex Voice Communications, and the
Peninsula Community Foundation as well as
the various agencies participating in the Bay
Area Homeless Alliance. Voice mail is already
up and running in most of the nine Bay Area counties.

While the information targets homeless people
in the San Francisco Bay Area, I believe some
of the information may be useful in other areas.
I would love to hear of similar efforts elsewhere.
