world) receive E.C.T. (Electro-convulsive therapy or 'shock treatment')
yearly?

*Nobody* knows-- the information is simply impossible to get, because
many US states just don't keep the necessary records. Neither do many
places internationally.

It's a problem that many people have identified in the past.
