NO CURE

I tried Kai Kit Wan purchased from Eat To West,  with no success. I have
chronic prostatitis with primary symptom painful to lack of sensation during
ejaculation.
I could see, however, how it would help someone with acute prostatitis with
the primary symptom being painful urination. It does improve flow rate, etc..

Anyone else have a similar experience with the Chinese herb Kai Kit Wan?

How about analyzing the fluid type and volume level of the ejaculate to
determine what type of prostatitis a man has? If x amount of prostatic fluid
and x amount of seminal vesical fluid and x amount of {*filter*} are present in a
normal, healthy, ejaculate, why not put the suff in a centrifuge and figure
out what is in too low of a level to be healthy. Not enough prostatic fluid
means an infection in the prostate.
Not enough fluid from the seminal vesicle means a clogged ejaculatory duct or
a clogged seminal vesicle. Not enough {*filter*} means a problem with the testicle
or the delivery system from it.

Then also analyze the three separate fluids to determine the presence of any
pathogens.

We are gaining some ground on what might cure prostatitis, but it appears
that there is NO real knowledge as to the CAUSE of it. If we knew what caused
it, we could avoid that, and not get it.

So......

Any users of dandruff shampoo containing coal tar?
Any snorers who have sleep apnia?
Any long term exposure to paints, asphalts, urethane, or polyplastic fumes?
Any heavy users of caffeine (coffee and colas)?
Any lovemaking in jacuzzies or swimming pools?
Any who have had a lot of female {*filter*} partners, the female partners having
had
a lot of male {*filter*} partners? (Oh, that's right, this is not a {*filter*}ly
transmitted infection, is it?).
Any who have spent long amounts of time driving a car or truck?
Any who have gone for long periods of time without any sex followed by
periods of time with lots of sex?

WHAT IS THE COMMON DENOMINATOR?

The only things that I can say I have done are:

1- Sitting in car for long time and sitting down at work for ong period.
2-  Used to drink a lot of coffees and colas,
3-  This the important one.  I had frequent urination for two years and I
ignored it
thinking that I have a small bladder.... No thinking that I might have
an infection.

I find your response interesting, for I started using saw palmetto about 4-5
years ago and it pretty much nipped my testicle pain and pain during
ejaculation or defacation in the bud.  It only took the edge of my urinary
urgency.  I've been on the Kai Kit Wan pills now almost one month, and they
have made a tremendous difference in my flow, in my urinary urgency and
frequency, to the point that I'm begining to feel close to normal.

I was wondering if I should stop the saw palmetto and pygeum, but after

the Kai Kat Wan pills and went off saw palmetto and got worse), I think I'll
stay on the saw  palmetto and pygeum.

From every thing I read, saw palmetto and pygeum have been shown to block
the fromation of dihydrotestosterone (from testosterone) which causes growth
of the tissures of the prostate on a cellular level, so it's probably
something I'd want to stay on the rest of my life anyway.

And if I understand you correctly, the Kai Kit Wan pills did improve your
flow, but did not take your pain away.  Could it be that the two sets of
herbs are working by different mechanisms with differening results, and that
the two actually compliment each other??

As Jim indicates by some of his postings following this taking the chinese
pills his prostate was softer and produced more fluid upon expression.
Perhaps the chinese pills work more on opening up the acini and getting rid
of the bacteria/fungi living in the prostrate.  While the saw palmetto and
pygeum function by reducing the tissue mass of the prostrate??
