Fw: PROSTATITIS Digest - 18 May 2000 to 19 May 2000 - Special issue(#2000-241)
My problem began in 1959, when I experienced the urge to urinate more often,
day and night, a sensation of incomplete emptying of urine, occasional
burning sensation in the urinary tract. I also experience moderate low back
pain and a heavy sensation in both {*filter*}, on and off. {*filter*} was not
full and ejaculation fast, a sensation of burning during ejaculation and had
an episode of {*filter*}y {*filter*}.
I was in Toronto completing my surgical residency and for the next two
years, I consulted one urologist after another and based on DRE, gave a
diagnosis of chronic prostatitis. I was prescribed different antibiotics and
sulfa for the next two years. My symptoms improved but would recur.
Prior to coming home, I spend the
next 4 years in the Congo, Africa. I was doing suprapubic prostatectomy on
patients who had urinary obstruction and discovered that the obstruction was
due to an enlarge congested prostate. I began to massage the prostate of my
patients, a procedure abandoned after antibiotics were discovered. Symptoms
improved but would recur. Knowledge was limited to gonorrhea and nonspecific
urethritis and prostatitis.
It took another 10 years after I arrived in the Philippines before I cured
myself with repeated massage and administration of different antibiotics
empircally taken.
In 1981, I retired from surgery and introduced the specialty of STD in the
Philippine and since then confined my practice in the diagnosis and
treatment of genito-urinary tract infection, in men, women and children. The
present protocol as describe in Art. 13 is the results of clinical
experience for the last 30 years.
I have had no recurrence of my symptoms since then, however I had to drain
my prostate every few months. {*filter*} would diminished and a heavy
sensation in the testicle and back pain would recur, which is relieved by
prostatic massage.

>I noticed that A.N. Feliciano claims that he had prostatitus and apparently
"cured" himself... I would like to hear more about what his symptoms
were...the duration of both the disease and the cure... just curious....
