I think that it is in the patient's own
interest to have a  trial of ProstaQ

Does it take a prescription? Where do you buy it... and what is it suppose to do for
you?

No prescription. It is beginning to be carried by some chains, but
the best place is still the internet (www.prostaq.com) or the toll free
number (877-284-3976). Information is available at
http://go.to/prostate and http://www.dshoskes.com/prostaq.html.

Prosta-Q is only for men with nonbacterial prostatitis (chronic
pelvic pain syndrome) or prostatodynia (NIH category IIIa or IIIb). If
there is a bacterial infection, it should be treated with antibiotics,
not Prosta-Q.

whavrelly posted about his cartilage tear and other knee joint problems.  Being a
CP/CPPS patient, he has likely been on quinolone / fluoroquinolone antibiotics like
Cipro, Levaquin, etc.  The published medical scientific Literature and listings in the
Physician's Desk Reference show that these types of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) to
these antibiotics are quite common.  (Me, too, affecting multiple joints.)  Tendon
tears ("ruptures") are much more likely, but cartilage damage is well-known, too.
Note that the Literature says these types of things can spontaneously happen up to at
least 9 (NINE) months after you have finished one of these antibiotics.  Browse
www.geocities.com/quinolones   .   Also, read the Literature like this Editorial on
these {*filter*}: Litt JZ. Fluoroquinolones (editorial). Southern Medical Journal.

Well.. for a weekly update... it has been 7 weeks since I have been home from Manila
and my visit to AEF and Dr Garcia...

"Things" are definately getting better...
After a NINE year absence, libido seems to have returned to stay... I think my life
would be a bit different now...if I had gone to see AEF years ago...  I suppose I had
to wait until the discomfort had reached a peak before I made more effort to find a
cure.  Dr. #6 telling me that my condition was uncurable... helped spure me on as
well... I am glad that I didn't take the anitbiotics that he prescribed before going
to see AEF.

Those that felt that they had only temp{*filter*} improvements in symptoms after the
Manila protocol.... did they say exactly whether they had removed all known pathogens
from the prostatic fluid?  And... was the relief in symptoms as good as mine...1)
{*filter*} return to normal 2) abatement in  discomfort 3) Libido returned

How long did "it" last until  regressioin?  ..any of you one of those that made a
pilgrimage to Manila???

If a bacterial infection isn't always the cause of prostatitus...it certainly seems
like a good place to start looking...   Something apparently found a happy home in my
prostate... and stayed there for nine years... and apparently had no intention to
leave...until AEF gave a eviction notice.

.....  so far...I will have to say...EVERYTHING AEF told me has been true...He also
said it would take four months or so for the prostate to calm down completely after
the pathogens were removed...  Well he was right on the return of libido... so lets
hope he is right on the other last symptom as well.

I will have to admit... I was a bit reluctant when I first set off... but the gamble
seems to have  paid off for me... even this is as good as it gets...it was a positive
move mor me.
Anyway... so far so good... dave b
