Am feeling as if a chemical inside me is making me keyed-up and tense

Am feeling as if a chemical inside me is making me keyed-up and tense

To all - I am feeling as if a chemical inside me is making me keyed-up
and tense. I use no caffeine, {*filter*}, little sugar, etc. My life is
fine and my mental state, intellectually and emotionally, seems fine.

I recently passed a physical, but there's one test parameter that I
would like to ask about. My Thyroid Stimulating Hormone level is 5.41
micro IU/ml, where the reference range is given as 0.4 - 5.50. Even
though I am in the range, is it possible that my upper-end reading
could be causing my keyed-up feeling?

Actually, have had this much of my life. Used to have stress headaches
after work, but somehow learned to relax more and these disappeared.

Now I have a prostatitis (pelvic pain, frequent need to urinate, etc)
that's non-bacterial, not cancer, etc., per my urologist. To me, it's
caused by a tension in my pelvic region. Anyone with non-bacterial
prostatitis have an elevated TSH reading?

Would appreciate any replies based on your experience.

Regards,
Ted

I cannot speculate as to whether your T levels are causing some of
your problems.  There are others here more qualified than myself that
may be able to answer.  I will tell you, however, that I have felt all
"keyed up" most of my life, 39 yrs old now.  I have had regular
physicals and everything always shows up within a "normal range".  I
too have often wondered if this hyperactivity is in some way connected
to prostatitis.  Anyway, you might go to this link and do some

Good luck!

Ted,
I have had some experience with this dealing with my Levaquin reaction,
the sort answer to your question is - yes -  The thing to look for is
fluctuations of your hormone levels over an extended period of time.
Now for the question you all know is coming --- Are you taking any
medications?
Levaquin and other fluoroquinolones tend to give some people ( like me) a rush
like you are on speed, its a sign that they are effecting your brain - your
thinking. Check on all the medication your are taking -- see what the side
effects are.
