Dear Mr. Spar,

PSA level is directly proportional to prostate enlargement.  It is presumed
that your prostate is enlarged as it encrouches on the urinary bladder.
There is such a thing as PSA density to get the true value of your PSA
without the disturbance of prostate size.  PSA level is divided by the
prostate size in cc and you get your PSA density.  I would presume that 7.2
would not be a significant increase if you divide it with the size of the
prostate.

Tuberculosis of the prostate is easily detected by taking smears of the
expressed prostatic secretions (EPS) using Acid Fast Bacillus (AFB) smears
and Direct Immunofluorescence for Tuberculosis (Merck).  Ultrasound may show
shadows suggesting TB and there might be persistent microscopic hematuria.
Just a few comments, off hand.

>Both Prostate biosies  showed no cancer however the first one showed PIN . No
>Pin was found on the second. They were 6 months apart.

>No primary site for tb was identified. The only evidence was the high psa
>(7.2) and the negative biopsies.

>What is the EPS?
