I was just reading the {*filter*}scope section of Newsweek (2/12/96) about a
new health care WWW site called MedAccess.  I found that they have a great
"Locator" section which highlights hospitals, physicians, managed care
organizations and nursing homes.  There's a lot of information available
so you can learn about your doctor or hospital and make informed choices
about your or a loved one's health care.  Their URL is
http://www.***.com/ .

I found this new concept in choosing health care to be very 90's, as the
trend now is to be an informed consumer.  So did NBC nightly news, who
aired a segment about MedAccess which I happened to see, a few weeks ago.

This site also has newletters, guides, reports and workbooks about health
care which I found to be fun and informative.
