 Dexatrim - sinus congestion

I would like to ask if anyone knows if Dexatrim can cause sinus
problems.  I have been taking it for a week and each morning when I wake I
have an incredible head ache and difficulty breathing through   my nose.  I
realize that the main ingredient phenylpropanolamine is used in cold
remedies.  I'm just surprised that it is causing cold symptoms.  I have
taken some Claritin-D and that helps.  Is there any OTC cold remedy I can
take to relieve the symptoms while using the Dexatrim for appetite
suppression?

Please don't take Claritin D (or any other decongestant combination) along with
the Dexatrim - you are asking for high {*filter*} pressure or a stroke.
The plain Claritin would be OK. Now why you feel congested - this is pollen
season now and maybe by conincidence you were exposed to something you are
allergic to.
