One of the unrecognized side effects of Paxil, Prozac and other SSRI's

One of the unrecognized side effects of Paxil, Prozac and other SSRI's is an
onset or aggravation of something called Restless Legs Syndrome,
where the legs,
and sometimes the arms as well will go into spasms of twitching and jumping,
especially before and during sleep.  For some people this becomes a
*very* serious
sleep disorder.  The Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation has a website.
I think the address is http://www.***.com/

I have heard of this happening to several other people while they were on
SSRI-type AD's.  This is just a hunch of mine, but I know a lot of
the current
research in RLS is looking at the neurotransmitter dopamine as a cause,
and I know that many psychopharmacologists speculate that the phenomenon
of SSRI-related fatigue is also dopamine related, so I do think there is a
connection there to be explored.

If anyone else has any info on links between RLS and SSRI's I would
love to hear about it.

Comments Did you know that when someone signs your guest book and answers 'No' to the
question 'Ever tied down or restrained as a punishment', the next page shows your answer
rec ordered as 'no comment'?

Quite an odd little glitch if you consider how often you were tied down or restrained as a
punishment for endangering yourself and others. On your many visits to the hospital
resulting from your refusal to take your meds are you as abusive to hospital staff and
patients as you are to the people in the Usenet groups that you haunt, cross-post to,
flood-fill, xx xx of the Seattle/Tacoma area. Are you in the phone book or are you afraid
that your family will start stalking you again if your number is listed. Remember when you
used to believe that your family was stalking you and you posted message after message
begging for sympathy on 'alt.support.depression.manic'. That was just the paranoia, wasn't
it, xxxx x. Come on, admit it. Why don't you tell us about all of your other delusions,
and instead of telling us how terribly patients are treated in psychiatric facilities,
tell us about how terribly abusive you were towards patients and staff in those
unfortunate places. Do you wonder, sometimes, if your {*filter*} behavior wasn't the reason
you were restrained or medicated against your will?

Comments How do you find the time to keep up this web page when you spend so much time and
energy flood-filling the Usenet groups posing as other people, xx xx? I wonder what would
happen if someone started flood-filling your guest book,{*filter*}for tat?

Comments All those storms up there in the Northwest, sst. They say it always rains in
Seattle. All of that thunder and lightning. Doesn't it scare you? I certainly hope your
expensive computer equipment is never harmed by all of that thunder and lightning, thunder
and lightning. Have you ever had problems caused by lightning, sst? Personally, I love
lightning, and sometimes I think that it loves me. I guess that's what you call a
delusion, isn't it? Once lightning struck a power transformer about five hundred feet away
from me. i could smell the ozone and the hairs on my arms stood up. It was so cool, so
terribly, terribly thrilling.

DSM IV is the fabrication upon which
psychiatry seeks acceptance by medicine
in general. Insiders know it is more
a political than scientific document.
To its credit it says so
