How much harder does pharmacy school get then Organic? I am starting to get
really confused with this class. Feeling kind of discouraged.

I can only tell you from what I know about the school here in Sweden. So
note this information might not be correct, since the systems might not be
the same and I don't know what they have put into Organic.

Anyway, from what I know it might be a bit harder, beacuse except fo
chemistry you have to read a lot about the human body, and how
medicined interact with the body.

Note that my info is based on the Danish system (but I suppose that we have
to go through the same kind of classes/subjects).

Yep, a bit harder:-) Organic chem is sets the basics of pharmacy school in
Denmark. But you won't necessarily have to use the knowledge you attain of
reagents and reaction conditions, unless you specialize in organic synthesis
later on. You'll need some of organic chem in most classes. For instance
when looking a drug and predicting what might happen to it, when exposed to
humidity, heat or light.

I hope you don't feel too discouraged - for me it's been worth the hard work
(so far). Buy a study guide in the classes that trouble you and try to
follow it during the semester (not just for the exam:-)). It's helped me a
great deal.

The best of luck to you.

Pretty damn tough, as I recall it 20 years ago. Organic is mostly
memory issues. Not much for understanding. The key is that this is a
rite of passage that you have to get through to get to the next step.
