Need info on Bone Mineral Density

I'm working on a few research projects that include bone mineral density
as a dependent variable (L1-L4 lumbar bone mineral density, assessed via
densitometry).  For most subjects I have both the absolute BMD number (in
grams/cm^2) and the standard deviation of this density compared with age-
and sex-matched norms.  However, for several subjects I have only the BMD
number -- not the standard deviation of the subject's BMD value.

Can someone direct me to a table or some other source that presents the
mean and standard deviation of L1-L4 lumbar BMD values broken down by sex
and age?  Ideally I'd like to find a chart set up something like this:

                   L1-L4 BMD

            FEMALE          MALE
           mean   SD      mean  SD
Age: 15    x.xx   x.x     x.xx   x.x
     16    x.xx   x.x     x.xx   x.x
     17    x.xx   x.x     x.xx   x.x
      .
      .
      .

So far my search has been fruitless -- I'd be grateful for any
suggestions.  Thanks!

Have you considered contacting companies such as Hologic who manufacture
the equipment?  I'm assuming that the Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry
technique is relevant to your research.
Hope this helps.
