I suppose it can be both good and bad like anything else. The answer to all
the questions is balance. Now how to achieve this balance is what we should
all be concerned about.

There is so much misinformation and half-truth in that article that it would
take too long to cover them all. Needless to say, those of us who have been
consuming soy milk and tofu for many years feel a heck of a lot better than
the carnivoires. I'll take my chances with the humble soy bean over the
hormone and antibiotic laden meats.

How about Tyson Chicken?

I suppose if you eat soybeans for breakfest and wash it down by soy milk,
and then repeat this procedure at lunch and dinner time, in this case you
will shure get into some health trouble. Otherwise, .....

Perhaps you are only unaware of how bad you really feel, as a result of
soy-induced brain atrophy:

J Am Coll Nutr 2000 Apr;19(2):242-55
Brain aging and midlife tofu consumption.
White LR, Petrovitch H, Ross GW, Masaki K, Hardman J, Nelson J, Davis D,
Markesbery W.

"CONCLUSIONS: In this population, higher midlife tofu consumption was
independently associated with indicators of cognitive impairment and brain
atrophy in late life."

oh, what misinformation?

Keep in mind that Mary Enig has a track record of spreading
misinformation about vegan foods that are 'healthier' than the animal
versions - she was one of the first researchers to study the health
damaging effects of transfatty acids.

I could imagine the internet being what it is today back in the 70s.
David Cohen would have a notbutter.com website and talk about Mary
Enig's 'margarine disinformation campaign'.

You're fooling yourself if you think people can make a health cooking.net">food in
a factory. If you want to eat soy stick to the natural, wholefoods
versions of soy: tempeh, miso and naturally brewed soy sauce.
