It is not exactly a 'mistake'.
Afterall the problem is due to the {*filter*} pooling in the legs and
insufficiency of venous return, so standing on your head will certainly
alleviate the symptoms. However, I do no think that it will help effect
any cure or reduction of the chronic symptoms.
Beside ginkgo and grape seed extract, (and vitamin C and E), you might
look into escin (horse chestnut extract) which has good evidence for
helping with venous insufficiency in the legs.
In addition, anything with reduces {*filter*} visocity should help, such as
fish oils and aspirin (80 mg chronically is ok)
