My sister has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, then lupus.  She has
lost the soft tissue underlying her fingerpads and her fingerprints have
lost a lot of their definition.  She at one time had four{*filter*} dogs and
lives in a rural area of North Carolina.  Lyme is a real possibility.
Her doctors have just scratched their heads over the finger symptoms.
