 I am so %&^**#@ angry
Today , first thing , I get an e-mail from a very nice aquaintance of mine who lives and works in the northern NJ woods who has been Diagnosed with CFS for 4 years , even though he picks ticks off of himself on a daily basis; the mothere of a 2 year old I know took her daughter into the Dr. with a bullesye around a known tick-bite -this is also in NJ -and the doctor said it was an infected bug bite and would not perscribe antibiotics; A woman my Husband works with who has everly lyme symptom in the book , but who tests negative was told by her doc. "take 2 tylenol every day for a week" (I am not making this up)-all of these things happenend on the most infested county in NJ where our motto is "if you havent got lyme then you havent been outdoors lately" What is going on!!!!!!!!!I am sick of this crap. .......just venting, and have a good day all , Love, Ruth

My Doc in N.E. Ct. just put my 15 year old daughter on {*filter*}anti's. Now that she has the bullseye rash on her face and five other rashes on her arms, neck and shoulders. He tells me that Lyme is a VERY VERY rare disease. His claim is that 80% of the folks that say they have Lyme don't have anything. I'm beginning to wonder if i should look for another Doc..... Ah, not many choices via the HMO system around here. -be

This is 1996!!!!! Lyme Disease is ONLY either the first or second fastest spreading infectious disease in the country. If the duck quacks, shoot it! Steve

I suggest you take your daughter to another doc right now. Call the Lyme Disease Foundation to get referrals. And if you have to go out of the HMO, you may find its well worth the investment to save your daughter's health, at least for initial consultations.

Hey, tell your doc that it may be a very very rare disease except in 100% of the people who have it. Seriously, maybe you should start reading some of the papers where your doc is getting her/his information so you will have some good arguments to counter the bs. pcm

If you have or plan to use long term antibiotics you should research and be ready for super yeast infections. These are common with Lyme treatment and the signs and symptoms can be very similar to Lyme. The current treatments for yeast are Niz{*filter*}(4-6 weeks) Nystatin 3-4 weeks, and last or instead Collodial Silver. Good Luck.. We use the fact that you have been to over 30 doctors as a good indicator for Lyme..... so does our doc Sorry we are not closer to help you .....
