being very ill from JUly 1998 till JanuARY WITH MY worst relapse.  These days
just appear to be getting harder and harder for me because I see no
improvement.  I am going to see a New Lyme doc at the end of the month.  I am
going back to physical therapy this week whi8ch should help.  I am just getting
more and more depressed because I am getting worse rather thAN better.  I am a
23 yr old male that has been on medical leave from graduate school for almost a
yr because of my damn relapses.  I just want some suggestion son how to stay
positive even when things continue to go downhill. My arthritis in my joints,
especially my knees are killing me.  Please email me your suggestions at

I am veyr sorry to hear how ill you are feeling.? I want to offer you
encouragement, I have been back at work for more than a year and am just spiking
with tetracycline (500 mg/3xday) on weekends and I am well.? I was out of work for
eight months, I spent several years agoing downhill before that and had suffered
periodic illness for numerous years and/or at certain time intervals over the
course of my life (since I was eight) and last year when I was really sick, the
pain in my shins were horrific, so I know how hard this can be to deal with.? I
don't have any good answers, but if I look at all the people I know who are
succesfully dealing with this, it seems like once they got really sick, it took a
good six months to show much significant improvement.? It also seems to me that
when I began to get better, my improvement was very eratic and I took Zoloft for a
while, it helped. (Don't take any steroids, IMHO) Best wishes, Sue

The  only  thing  you  can  do  is  build  up
your  immune  system. What  kind  of  diet  are  you  on ?The  {*filter*}  are
weakening  you
too  much. There  is  not  ONE  proven  case
of  a  cure  from  {*filter*}.The  bacteria  just
hides  until  the  {*filter*}  are  stopped----then  a
relapse.I,also, have  Lyme  and  I  have  had  NO  {*filter*}  and  I  am  doing  a
lot  better than
last  year. I  do  take  a  lot  of  supplements.
How  about  you ?  deearpino2aol.com

When you go to your new doctor be sure you are tested for other known tick
borne infections especially Babesia and Erlichia.

Also, be sure your new doctor is Lyme literate.
