Hi everyone:

In the May 1998 issue of "Dog World" Magazine there is a very good,
informative
article about Tick Borne Diseases. To summarize, the article describes
the life cycle of
a tick, describes the different tick borne diseases, diagnostic
difficulties, vaccines,
and finally prevention.

To quote from the article: "Tick-borne diseases are here to stay. They
are
endemic around much of the world, have great reservoirs in the natural
animal
populations and are highly resistant to any form of widespread control
efforts."

I plan on writing a letter to the editor, commending them for publishing
this
useful, and well done article. For those interested in doing so, their
