I crossed party lines today to vote for two candidates who  have been Lyme
advocates in our area. It felt real good!

Melody: I hope you don't mean the politicians who CLAIM to support the
Lyme Disease initiative in Pennsylvania? Cause neither Joe Pitts nor
Rick Santorum actually care and neither has done any more than pay lip
service to our issues. Plus the Lyme Disease bill is really flawed--we
are MUCH better off with NO bill than the current proposal.

Equally important: both Santorum and Pitts (as well as Chris Smith in
NJ) have consistently voted AGAINST patient's rights and in favor of
the large insurance companies who are pitted against us. And all three
of them are opposed to women's reproductive freedom from RU 486 all the
way to Roe v Wade...

I hope you weren't fooled by any of those snakes--when they claim to
support us but actually use us for their own purposes (photo ops and
reelection) but don't actually DO anything to help.

Most of these guys completely ignored us anyway until the current
election cycle rolled around...
