New Test Helps Diagnose Lyme Disease - (ROCHESTER)
-- A new test for Lyme disease has been developed by researchers at the
Minnesota Mayo Clinic. Microbiologist David Persing says the disease can be
tricky to diagnose because it mimics several other diseases. He says those
with the disease have a range of almost no symptoms at all, to very severe
symptoms involving central nervous system and other internal organs. He says
the new test is so accurate, it can prevent false ``positive'' results in
people who have received the new Lyme disease vaccine
