Having trouble getting meds?

 Having trouble getting meds?

FYI  My dr uses a mail order pharmacy and it is delivered to my house once a
month.  In 7 months I have had no problems.  The pharmacy called my ins co and
set up payments with them so I don't have to worry about that either.  Normally
I would pay 20% but some how they set it up where I am not paying a dime.  Of
course the ins co doen't pay them the full amout which is usually in the 3000
area but they accept whatever payment they get.  Tehy told me form the
beginning I wouldn't have to pay and so far o true.  I get a months supply of
needles full, ribavarin, bandaids, and {*filter*} swabs.  They call me a few days
in advance to make sure I will be home when they send it out.  Maybe your drs
can check into this or if anyone wants I have the # to the one I use

 Having trouble getting meds?
After re-reading my last post I have decided I am either the worst speller in
the world or I haven't been near a typewriter in years.  Which one would guess?

Rebatron   Try the Mail order and see if they can bargain with your ins co.

 Having trouble getting meds?
I heard from a friend in insurance (I can not give
out his name, he is an exec) that they are
cracking down on copay scams like this.  I am
afraid it will be the patient who pays the price
when it is the pharm companies who are offering it
up and not telling you they are skirting the
laws.  I am not trying to start anything I just
wanted to let you know so if anything comes up.

Hugs,
Nan

This happened to me: my insurance companie paid 90% of my interferon for 10
months. Suddenly, without any explanation, they doubled my co-pay and
stopped covering my other prescriptions. Still I couldn't do anything
because I still "needed" them to pay for the drug. Not fun at all!
