 basal cell carcinoma questions

hello
2 years ago i was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma: left {*filter*}.
lumpectomy oct 99 clear margins. tumor was 2.9 cm and stage 2. axillary node
dissection was done. 29 lymph nodes removed and 2 were cancerous. had 4 cycles
chemo of A/C ending feb 2000 and 33 rad treatments ended may 2000.

i had the port out june 2000.
i see all docs every 3 months.
about 6 months ago i noticed a small growth above my right {*filter*} on my chest.
it didnt really bother me..it got scabby and i picked at it but it never went
away and never changed in color so i was not too worried.
i decided to have it removed under local by my surgeon and he took extra
margins.
today i went to get the stitches out and the path report: "basal cell carcinoma
with all surrounding tissues clear of tumor". skin cancer??? very scary

so here is my question: even tho they got clear margins becuz i waited so long
to get it removed could it be possible that it spread inside my body.

i see the onc friday
i need someone to email me with some answers and facts

is basal cell carcinoma curable????
thanks in advance all:-)

The correct treatment for basal cell cancer is the treatment you've had.
Spread of BCC is exceedingly rare.
About 98% of BCCs are cured by surgical excison or radiotherapy.
Stop worrying.
