Lung Cancer Bronchioalveolar Adenocarcinoma : To whom it may concern

Hello,

A member of my family has lung cancer named Bronchioalveolar Adenocarcinoma.
He does not have access to the Internet  and asked me to mention his story
on the Internet.

He has been diagnosed in October 1992 with non-operable Bronchioalveolar
Adenocarcinoma of the lung, complicate through malignant pleurisy on the
left, however without other accidental metastasis.

There was a decent tumor respons after 17 treatments chemotherapy with the
following products: Platinol + Vindexine + Ifosfamide.
In August 1994 the therapy has been stopped but there was still a litte
indication.

In July 1998 he went for a half-year check-up to his doctor who took a
thorax X-ray.
The diagnose was :
- big quantity of liquid in the left lung
- high sedimentation of the {*filter*}
- CEA 9 ng/ml  (CEA means the quantity of malignant cells in the {*filter*})

Conclusion : restart with the same therapy of 6 years ago.

Now he asks if there is someone with that kind of cancer that can give more
information about a product that can do disappear the tumor?
Are there any other products or treatments in order to find a solution?

Please respond to my email address.
Thank you for your cooperation or information.

Best regards,

Rudi

Groetjes uit New York

I also have adenocarcinoma of the lung.  I was first diagnosed in 1989 with
stage iv.  I have put all the info I found useful on a web site.  The address
is

http://www.***.com/

At the time that I was re-diagnosed in 1996, again with stage iv,
Taxol/Carbo-Platin was the first line treatment.  Now there seem to be others
treatments which are also used.

My site has links to info about lung cancer, treatments, {*filter*}, side effects,
complementary meds and other stuff.

Hope this helps.

Anita

Anita,
Do you mean there are other chemotherapies that have replaced Taxol/carbo as
'first line" treatments?

Thanks,
Susan
