James Wrig #1 / 2	bone cancer treatment? My grandfather beat prostate cancer 10 months ago due with radiation treatment. However, recently his PSA test went from .8 to 27 in sixth months. He went in for more detailed examination. They performed a bone scan and found that he has the beginnings of bone cancer. since he previously had radiation treatment, he can't do chemotherapy and he can't do radiation for this. Its right around his pelvis and spreading.Is there any hope for him?? What treatments are available for him and could you suggest any alternative treatments. Pleas e-mail me back.

With the elevated psa, he doesn't have "bone cancer," but rather prostate cancer metastatic to bone. This may be amenable to hormonal manipulation, or failing that, radioactive Strontium injection. H2
