need info re: adenocarcinoma lung cancer
You can find a lot of useful information at PDQ, a site from the National
Cancer Institute that has information for patients and for health professionals
(updated monthly) about all kinds of cancer. There are good explanations of
stages, histological types like adenocarcinoma, treatment options for each
stage, prognosis, clinical trials, etc.
There is also a section on supportive care for different aspects of cancer
complications and treatment effects. PDQ is at
http://cancernet.nci.nih.gov/pdq.htm
If you don't find what you need, try calling their hotline at 1-800-4-CANCER.
Good luck to you and your dad. Sounds like they caught it at a fairly early
stage, which is always good.
