Does anyone have info on using Taxol to treat liver cancer? It's being
prescribed to my mother, who originally had {*filter*} cancer. I'm told that
Taxol was originally used in treating ovarian cancers, and so this is, to
some extent, an experimental treatment (at least in Canada).

Any help of any kind would be appreciated.

A cancer that was "originally" {*filter*} cancer REMAINS {*filter*} cancer, even
after it has spread to different organs, such as liver.  It is then
referred to as "metastatic {*filter*} cancer", and is treated with
medications/therapies that have shown to be capable of killing {*filter*}
cancer cells.  Taxol is a proven effective agent in the treatment of
metastatic {*filter*} cancer, and is often used after more conventional
chemotherapy (cytoxan, adriamycin or methotrexate, 5-FU) has failed.>
