 Maya ruler identified at Tonina

Listeros,

INAH has translated the name of a Maya ruler at Tonina from a piece of
sculpture with hieroglyphics there. His name is K'awiil, Lord of Po.
We now know the name of 14 Tonina rulers. Po means dolphins and may
mean "white" in Mixe-Zoquean. All 14 Tonina rulers are associated with
the "Lord God of Po." They span from 501-909 CE. The list also
includes the names of some high ranking priests, including Hix, who
took control of Tonina following a military defeat in 687 at Palenque.
Palenque was the main enemy of Tonina during its history.

INAH has the report here (in Spanish) with the list of all 14 rulers,
and I will post an English translation as soon as it becomes available
online.
