Why I Don't Care About Amalgam
You know, I realized this morning why I don't especially care one way or another about amalgam. Even if it turns out to be poison, I just don't care, for myself. I was sitting there doing my maquillage, my half-an-hour or so routine in which I transform myself from hideously ugly to unremarkably run-of-the-mill unattractive, when I remembered that my favorite eyeliner - a kohl product from the middle east - is either antimony and wax, or lead and wax, or some combo thereof. I'm sure I will die of lead poisoning far sooner than mercury poisoning, even if it turns out my amalgams are giving off some traces of mercury vapor. The kohl is really very lovely - a deep, sooty shade of cold black that I simply can not find in any western product. Love, Lorrie

Unfortunately, rather than feeling good until the day of your death, you may instead feel miserable for years until the day of your death. That's a problem with heavy metals...they tend to ruin your hair day when you learn the facts. So, for example, for every N years of chronic exposure you might add to your enjoyment another symptom from the list. What is even more enjoyable is that the doctor will typically not diagnose your chronic poisoning but will give you more {*filter*}. So be sure to add the medication side effects to your Tupperware party. Lastly, your mercury vapor exposure may not actually be a "trace" amount, but may exceed EPA limits. But certainly if you are going to invite lead to your party (in addition to the mercury vapor), then the chance of having a good time with these symptoms increases (100-fold). Don't forget the eye liner. THE SYMPTOMS OF MERCURY VAPOR EXPOSURE Psychological disturbances Irritability Shyness or timidity Lack of attention Decline in intellect Fits of anger Anxiety Nervousness Loss of memory Loss of self confidence Lack of self control Depression Drowsiness or Insomnia Mouth symptoms Bleeding gums Loose teeth Bone loss around teeth Excessive salivation Foul breath Metallic taste White patches Stomatitis (inflammation of the mouth) -Ulceration of the gums, palate and tongue, Burning mouth and Tissue pigmentations. Geez.....I didn't know that many things could go wrong with someone. It reads like the index from the Merck manual. Is compulsory spending on the list? I'll be sure to remove the amalgams from my wife's mouth immediately!

Bioaccumulative skull-and-crossbones poisons...gosh darn it's so unfortunate when you have them in your mouth. Quote: > It > reads like the index from the Merck manual. Is compulsory spending on the > list? I'll be sure to remove the amalgams from my wife's mouth immediately!
Remember to pick only ONE symptom every N years and start at age Y. So don't worry about it. It's probably not compulsory, and as it develops no one will think about the mercury vapor exposure. And there's no test for it. Gosh darn it. It's so maddening when you can't be sure if the depression, asthma, and hypoglcycemia you developed over the last 20 years is due to the poison in your mouth. Oh well! I'm off to the store for another pack of Marlboro with its non-compulsory effects. I'll be driving 20 MPH over the speed limit with no seat beat on.

REPLY TO Looney-Tunes, Nope. This Zeppo dude is completely looney-tunes. He's gone bonkers. The Centers for Disease Control is more aware of diseases than Zeppo is. Trust me on that. Besides, I still like Groucho and Harpo better. Puh-lease get back to some basics. Get yourself a job. Forget this foolish bashing of America and your foolish bashing of dentistry. Get a new TV. You are only pulling the country down. You probably deserve to be deported. Is your real name Moo-HAM-ed or something? Why do you hate America so much? Is it because we eat cows and pigs? Well, I eat cows. Besides your incredible and incredulous list below you forgot to explain how your brain stopped working so quickly after graduating high school. Please explain. THE SYMPTOMS OF MERCURY VAPOR EXPOSURE Psychological disturbances You got this one already -- even without amalgam! Could it be the 131 tons of mercury released into the atmosphere in Maine?
