 Did dentist miss something?

No ... this happens. Unfortunately. Teeth do abscess. Unfortunately, too
many of our patients are "one-stop shoppers" today so we do not know our
patients like we should know them. With regular patients, I can tell by
their response as to whether the tooth "needs" immediate attention or
whether it will improve on its own.

Hi:
I had an amalgam filling 3 months ago.  2 weeks ago, it started to hurt.
And now am being told I need a root canal?
Did the dentist miss something back in May.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Yep they missed the METAL IN THE MOUTH AND ROOT CANALS ARE DANGEROUS!
