 Parents heed this warning

If you bother to read some of my older post, and the reply's by most of
these orthodontist and dentist, I think it is clear that a good many of them
will say anything to avoid the truth. They will gang up on anyone who criticize
anyone in their profession.
They balk at the idea that they have any m{*filter*}responsibility to help
ferret out bad orthodontist and dentist that they may be aware of. They also
deny there is a problem with  substandard care and avoid being honest about
negative terms that haunt their industry like "the Orthodontic look" or the
truth behind the standard of care. Which is something that protects them from
being more responsible practitioners of dental medicine?
If you read the posts thier hostility is very evident, as is my anger. But
please take the time to read them and then make up you own mind. Before taking
you children to an orthodontist, or allowing extractions and the use of
headgear.
I wish I was warned before my daughter was treated. Before I found out the hard
way about how difficult it is to hold them to their promises of a positive
outcome of treatment.
Remember thier are a few orthodontist who admit these terrible things are
happening to children and are way less likley to extract healthy teeth than
others. You just have to seek them out.

Thats another good point. I forgot to mention that. When you have your
consoltation with that over eager orthodontist consider that too.. If you child
never has orthodontic treatment (many children don't need it) he or she will
never have to bother wearing all those terrible ucky devices.
once you allow treatment chances are they will need those retainers for life to
keep things from getting worse. They never tell you that at the outset of
treatment.
Think long and  hard parents, before allowing any alteration of you child's
natural growth.
Cheers, parent
