New release All Out War On Mercury
Subject: News Release All Out War On Mercury News Release April 17, 2001 For Immediate Release Americans across the U.S. come together to announce all out war on mercury use Washington- Virtually no one using or disposing of mercury will be unaffected by the first round of class action lawsuits and other actions to be announced at an April 24th News Conference at the National Press Club in Washington. Americans against Mercury is a coalition of environmentalists, health activists, lawyers, doctors, the public and other professionals who are coming together to demand the outright and immediate ban of the use of mercury in the U.S. and to seek restitution from those who have damaged our environment, and the health of our citizens and children. "Mercury is in our teeth. It's in our water. It's in our fish and even the vaccinations that are given to our children. Mercury is one of the most toxic substances known to man. The American public has unwittingly been led down the garden path, as the potential health risks associated with the use of this toxic substance are well known and so transparently obvious that they can no longer be ignored", states Patricia Kane Ph.D., one of the spokespersons from the group. Also introduced at the 9:30 a.m. News Conference, will be the latest scientific information providing even further evidence of the adverse health effects of mercury. Due to the sheer numbers of people adversely affected by mercury in the U.S., legal actions pertaining to the use of mercury could easily reach into the hundreds of billions of dollars, dwarfing the Class Action Lawsuits seen in the tobacco industry. Full media kits with copies of suits filed and scientific info will be provided to all attending members of the press. -30- Media Contact: Wayne Obie, Media & Public Relations Talk International for Americans against Mercury 1 (800) 540-0192

New release All Out War On Mercury
Wow, This is great info. Where can we get the names of lawyers bringing suite? This will make 9 class action suits I may benefit from in near future. I distinctly remember having a mercury thermometer stuck "where the sun don't shine"...and I KNOW there must be traces of mercury remaining for years. Please, help us all to stop this injustice. Thank you; Pudge Quote:

I can't answer that. I just posted the news as you see it here. The point is that people are getting wiser about the fact that mercury is dangerous, and it makes no sense that it is safe in the mouth. We know without a doubt that there are vapors that go to the brain. What more does one need to know? Jan Quote:

Louis You seem so obsessed with lawsuits and $$$$$ and not with those harmed ... You made several nonsensical remarks about silicone litigation ... yet seem oblivious to the vast amount of harm caused by {*filter*} implants. Makes one wonder about your priorities ...

What on Earth (or whatever planet you hail from) are you talking about? You are clearly the one here obsessed with $$$$ and lawsuits. Mental sewage, verbal spewage, please come up with something different, Ilena. Like a life. Quote: > You made several nonsensical remarks about silicone litigation ... yet > seem oblivious to the vast amount of harm caused by {*filter*} implants.
Wrong. I made one. And it made perfect sense. Quote: > Makes one wonder about your priorities ...
No doubt about yours. Here are the sad facts: You are a self-described "activist", which means that your livelihood depends upon you scaring people for money, ignoring real science, and slamming anybody who exposes what you for what you are. And what you are is a bozo. And now you are the charter member of my bozo bin, aka kill file.

**> You made several nonsensical remarks about silicone litigation ... yet **> seem oblivious to the vast amount of harm caused by {*filter*} implants. **> ** **Wrong. I made one. And it made perfect sense. only in your deluded hallucinations ... Here is what you said that got me involved with the PR Propaganda at sci.med.dentistry:
Quote: > "Everyone should be afraid of lawsuits, especially ones based on > pseudo-science (see > the silicon implant, alar, etc. lawsuits)."
Twit. It's "silicone" and altho I asked several times ... you REFUSED to respond ... which suits are you describing ... those won by plaintiffs or defendents? And Louie ... are you forgetting this comment of yours on lawsuits:
Subject: Re: Love that amalgam scare! Newsgroups: sci.med.dentistry Quote: > So, this little sign is going to increase business for ALL dentists in > California. > The scare-mongers have won... and I love it!
You love it for now, until the first class action lawsuit awards people with amalgam fillings a bajillion dollars for causing everything from hyperactivity to sluggishness, baldness to hair growth. As intrusive state agencies go, so do trial lawyers. I don't think it will be long before these lawsuits start to appear. BTW: is there a citation for the source for that warning? Louis
