 I need your opinion

I know a dentist that works with 2 customers at the same time.
He works with one, wash his hand then works with the  other and he repeat
this rutine.
I need your opinion in this case.
What about the bacterias?
Thank
Alberto

Sounds rather idiotic to me. If you are going to work on a patient, work on one
at a time. It may not only be unclean, but also rather stupid from the personal
stand point. I'd feel like my time is wasted!

As with many procedures, there are steps that require waiting.  When
this is the case, it is only logical to make use of that time.  When I
am waiting for the anesthetic to take effect, I go check someone
else's teeth.  When I am waiting for an X-ray, I finish a filling or
take an impression.  It is simply a matter of making the most of the
time available (washing and re-gloving, of course).

As it has been said before, if you want total individual attention,
you are going to have to pay a *premium* fee.

Hi Steven,

I often have occasion to tell patients,

"President Clinton never waits for his dental appointment. He has a
dentist on staff who just sits there and reads his own old magazines
and waits for an "exective dental problem." If you will pay for my
entire morning, I'll be happy to sit here and wait for you to come in
whenever you want. And you will also have my undivided attention. But
I do not think that you will want to pay for the entire 3 hours of my
time, just to fill that one cavity."

This usually does the trick.

Cheers,

Joel

Aha, now, at last, I see...Monica is a dentist in disguise.
