 Deep Clean possible infection

Hi:

I had a deep clean done last August, after 4 months, I had yellow,
itchy scalp, I went to my primary care doctor, she said it was fugus
infection, and gave me some shampoo and crame. after I applied them
on, several days later, the problem disapper, but at the office, my
doctor do sugguest I perform a annual checkup. But I didn't perform.
Six months later, the problem came up again, but less serious, I put
some crame and washed with special shampoo, it disappered, now it had
been another three months past, my head are fine. But I worried I got
some disease during my visit to dentist since the fugus is a serious
immune system diseas. Do I need to get a checkup?
Thanks for your reply.

Dental hygienists will do a wash and shampoo if you ask them nicely

You need a check up.  You didn't get the fungus from the dental visit, or
rather it's very unlikely.  A continued fungal infection should be looked at by
a regular MD.

Yup its rare that one gets a fungus from the dental hygienist and even
more rare if its within the dental office!

My brother once contracted a ringworm infection on his arm from a patient.
