 Lumpy Extraction Site? Karen

I had my wisdom tooth out 12 days ago I can now feel a lump to the side, my
husband said it looks like skin, there is no pain, I can eat fine, my doctor
said I have Keloid scarring in the past because of the bad scar I have from
a burn, could it be that? Shall I just ignore it as it's not sore just feels
funny as my inside cheek rubs it a little? Thanks in advance, Karen

If you are prone to keloid type scarring it
can indeed form at the site of an extraction.

It is normal for the surface of an extraction site to be lumpy for a while.
Most of that should smooth over, but that could be some time.  It is most likely
fine.  I'd return to the dentist to check if the area swells, there is drainage
or bad taste, pain starts in the area, or you feel something sharp in the area
with your tongue.
