It is normal for the surface of an extraction site to be lumpy for a while.
Most of that should smooth over, but that could be some time. It is most likely
fine. I'd return to the dentist to check if the area swells, there is drainage
or bad taste, pain starts in the area, or you feel something sharp in the area
with your tongue.
