The warm salt water is neutral tonic solution and will remove debris and irrigate ith erea. the salt just makes it similar in salt concentration to the {*filter*}. Pontic

1. Warm - increases circulation. 2. Salt - draws out swelling. 3. Rinsing - keeps the patient busy and out of trouble!
