Brownish fluid comming from Wisdom tooth extraction site

Over the last 3 days a brownish fluid that tastes strange has been
comming from, I think, the top wisdom tooth extraction site.  If I
squeeze that area with my cheek (It feels like that motion is creating
suction on that area) and then spit I can see it.

Could this be a sign of infection, or {*filter*}?  It does not taste like
{*filter*}.

I also have a sore lymph node under my jaw bone, it only hurts when I
push on it.

Thanks,

Steve

As long as it can drain, I wouldn't worry about it. As long as the sinus
on that side is OK and there is no sign of perforation, again I wouldn't
worry about it. You do want to see it improve over the next couple of
weeks, and you might want to have your dentist look at it to be sure
there is no perforation into the sinus, but DO remember that this would
be exceedingly rare.

Then leave it alone. If it becomes sore w/o pushing on it, then you
might want to consult for infection, but at this point, again, as long
as there is good drainage for the products of repair, leave things
alone.
