Via another network, a message was posted regarding a new type of
electronic toothbrush which uses sonic waves on the bristles (the
bristles move at about 500 strokes per second.) This supposedly allows
the toothpaste (gel) to transmit vibrations to the fluid that goes
between the teeth, and UNDER the gumline. This vibrating fluid ruptures
the fimbriae, the small tenti\acles the bacteria need to cling to the
wall of the tooth. Result: no more plaque.
The sender of the message says he bought the toothbrush from the
manufacturer (it's called Sonicare.) and that it works. His teeth are
beginning to whiten and they have never been as clean. It costs about
#150, from a firms named Optiva of Seattle, WA.
Has anyone ever heard of this? Is it really any good?
