 Calcium Deposits

I have a question for anyone in the group.  My husband drinks about a 2
gallons of 1% milk a week, or about three glasses at least a day.  He had
kidney stones and has a calcium deposit in his kidney which is too large to
remove or worry about.  I am wondering if his heart attack (blockage of the
right artery) was caused by this calcium.  If he cut out the milk would that
help him avoid future blockage?

 Calcium Deposits
Hi Joyce:
I'd be more concerned about that 1% fat content than the calcium. Switch
to the skim milk and be sure he is taking a multivitamin containing
magnesium. His calcium intake needs to be balanced by at least some
magnesium. If he's taking a Centrum or similar supplement it's likely
enough.
    Best wishes for good health!
