 How to stay awake

The best thing I've found for staying awake is exercise.

Caffeine gives me a stomach ache and even a rash on my back
if I drink alot of it over several hours.  (stress?)

If you exercise HARD for a couple weeks and get in shape
you will have much more energy, need less sleep, and
just generally feel better.  Add caffeine to this and
you may feel even better.

I strongly believe that hard exercise while growing up
(football and lifting 7-12th grade) helped me outgrow
my asthma.  Exercise is just good all around.
(In my opinion)

An ounce of prevention...

That is interesting. I have asthma myself, not very severe, but if I
ride my bike to school in winter and don't take it easy, I'll have a
pretty uncomfortable 20 minutes afterwards. I mostly get into problems
when I catch a bad cold or something (which I rarely do fortunately).

My doctor hasn't really told me much aoubt my future, but he told me that
I should exercise regularly to keep my lungs in shape. Are the chances
good that my asthma will go away eventually if I exercise often?

I'm 21 now, but the thought that at 70 I might have to fight with asthma
in addition with all the other age related problems makes me
uncomfortable. Pat, when you say you outgrew asthma, do you mean it
vanished completely?
