Is Ribavirin dangerous to health care worker?

Is Ribavirin dangerous to health care worker?

I am a nurse working in a children hospital.I was wondering what were the
policies for RIBAVIRIN. The exposure of health care workers during therapy for
respiratory synncytial virus infections is causing a lot of questions.
I would like to know HOW it is given in other hospital(protections measures
installed),if pregnant women or women in the age of procreation can take care
of
patient receiving RIBAVIRIN ?
Also,if there are hospitals where RIBAVIRIN is not given I would like to know
on
what the decision was based on.

thank you for your time, Danyele
