Latest Research on Psoriasis and Multiple Sclerosis

Would anyone be able to tell me what the latest research is
finding concerning the causes of Psoriasis and MS?  With
regard to the former, I am showing some early signs of it,
and have heard is hereditary.  Has research definitely ruled
out an acquired source for it?   With regard to MS, the Wistar
Research Institute in Philadelphia discovered a link between
MS and a retroviris last January, but appears to have made
no further announcements.  Has there been any further discoveries
concerning the cause of MS? -- Is it a faulty
or both?    (Make that retrovirus above)

While the Wistar got a lot of press, they were not the first to
report a connection.  The role of the retrovirus is not clear.
If it is causitive, it was acquired in childhood by the patient who
developes the disease as an {*filter*}, according to the best evidence.
There would appear to be little role for antiviral agents (such
as AZT) in treatment of established MS.
