 Annoying sleeping disorders

Is there something wrong when one wakes up every two to three hours
(sometimes less) every times one sleeps?  And also...
If I sleep for a time then stay up for over thirty minutes then go
back to sleep, I wake up with a tremendous headache that persists for
a few hours.  Are there any insights into this oddness?

Thank you..

People who recurrently awaken suffer from "Disorders of Maintenance of
Sleep."  Given that you awaken every few hours and these episodes result
in headaches, I would be suspicious that you have SLEEP APNEA.  Recurrent
snoring and suffocation from airway collapse can cause loss of oxygen
levels.  These drops in oxygen can in turn cause headaches in the morning
and vivid dreams.  Go see your doc about this.

Actually, I do not snore at all.
And the headaches only occur if I stay awake for more than,
say, thirty minutes and THEN go back to sleep.
Any ideas?

I still think you should see a Sleep Doc given the recurrent awakenings.
Snoring and apneas were just one idea, but there are other etiologies for
such ongoing awakenings.  You need a full evaluation to pin down the
source of the headaches.  Good luck!
